The Story Behind MentionPilot - Two Founders, One Frustration
We’re Kastytis and Paulius, two founders from Vilnius, Lithuania who built MentionPilot because we couldn’t find an affordable brand monitoring tool that actually worked. We spent years relying on Google Alerts, dealing with the same problems you probably do. If you’ve ever used Google Alerts, you know the feeling - you set up an alert expecting useful results, and instead you get nothing. Or worse, you get completely irrelevant matches while missing the mentions that actually mattered.
We built MentionPilot because we needed it ourselves. We wanted something that would reliably find every mention of our brands across the web, filter out the junk, and send us a clean summary we could actually act on. No $500/month enterprise contract. No sales calls. Just a tool that works.
MentionPilot searches Google, YouTube, and Reddit daily for the exact phrases you care about, scores each mention by authority, and delivers everything in a clean email digest. You can filter by source, exclude noise, organize alerts by team, and export data when you need to report to clients or stakeholders.
We’re a small, independent team. We don’t have a board of investors pushing us to add bloat or raise prices. We charge what’s fair, we keep the product focused, and we actually respond when you email us.
Today, MentionPilot is used by marketers, PR teams, brand managers, and agencies across the UK, US, and Europe. We monitor Google, YouTube, and Reddit for thousands of brands every day.
Meet the Team
Kastytis Bakanauskas
Co-founderKastytis handles the product and growth side of MentionPilot. He spends most of his time talking to users, figuring out what features actually matter, and making sure the product stays simple and useful. Before MentionPilot, he ran several online businesses and got frustrated enough with Google Alerts to build something better.
Paulius Vištejūnas
Co-founderPaulius is the engineering brain behind MentionPilot. He built the monitoring infrastructure, the analytics engine, and the email delivery system from scratch. He cares a lot about reliability and performance. If your alerts arrive on time every morning, that's his doing.
